Happy 2011!

It's going to be so weird to see 2011 written everywhere. And just as we were all getting used to writing 2010 from coming from 2009! : ) I have to date everything I do for school, so it's going to be hard to get used to.

I got to sleep in until ten this morning! I had a great time with a bunch of friends last night, and I hope you did too. I think my dad would be okay if you tell me in the comments how your New Year's Eve was.

I'm not really a fan of new year's resolutions, because while they can be good, especially if it's something like deepening your relationship with God or getting rid of a certain sin, they usually aren't goals that we think about throughout the rest of the year, and we make them only to boast about what we think we can get done. So I'm not going to make a resolution, but my prayer is that God will bless this blog and bless all of my readers as I try to honor Him in all I do with it.

Thank you all again for being faithful readers, and hopefully, I can keep this blog going for all of 2011. Please comment!

  2. Happy New Year to you, too! I quit New Year's Resolutions this year as well, because I'm already on a health plan that's helping me make resolutions weekly. Keep up the good work, and I know God will bless all you do!

  3. Happy New Year Christian! I had a great New Years Eve with my friends from church. We do a game night every year. This year we did it at a different place though. it was still fun. We played pool, scategories, Uno attack, checkers, foosball, and snacked on all sorts of goodies. Although the end was sorta anti climatic because we normally count down at midnight....But this year everyone was looking at their phones....(You can't count down on a phone! It doesn't have the seconds.) And when it said 12:00 everyone was like Happy New Year and good night. Everyone has to leave now. Hahaha. It was still a blast.

  4. @ FJ: That sounds like a great night! I love Scattegories. Our ending here was sort of anti-climatic as well. We didn't realize it was almost midnight until thirty seconds before, and we didn't know whose watch was the real time. So we didn't say Happy New Year until everybody's clocks said it was midnight.

  8. Merry New Years, everybody. (The old version is cliched) I don't do the resolution stuff either. *shakes head* In fact, I put it like this: May your troubles last as long as your New Years resolution. :P I stayed up till 2, and got up at 10:30, ate enough eggs and potato salad to make me sick (which it did) and ate nothing more till dinner. Pretty good...I think.
Oh, and Blog Consultant, I love that resolution.

  11. No I'm not mad at you, just concerned. The Holy Spirit is something very special to me too. I just do not agree with your beliefs about Him.
